1903 Eagle Runabout Found in an estate sale in Holland, Michigan. Very little is known about this unique 115 year old tiller-steered Runabout. At the time of discovery, this motor carriage (VIN # 00291) was carrying an authentic antique Michigan tag # X 4127 from 1919 (see picture). Powered by a reliable and easy to start (12-volt electric starter) single cylinder 5 hp Kohler engine from the 1950’s and coupled to a 3 speed / reverse manual transmission. Dual chain driven rear axel with 21 inch pneumatic Dunlop tires mounted on red painted wood spoked wheels. Car is equipped with brass bulb horn and an amp meter. It also has front and rear transverse leaf-springs for a comfortable ride. This extremely rare, fun, and unique 2-seater Eagle Runabout would make an enjoyable parade vehicle or could be used for transportation in a big classic car event like Hershey or Auburn RM spring or fall auctions where distance is too great to walk. All the Lamps have been electrified and works, including the stop lamp. This 1903 Eagle Runabout has a clear Florida Certificate of title. Reasonably priced at 69 Benjamin Franklin bills.
